Do you want to create awesome digital images by trying a few simple ideas and techniques? Experiment with two tips a day and your images will become more dramatic. They will advance from being a snapshot to a more sophisticated photograph.
It hasn't always felt enlightening, but now I have learned to incorporate a great deal from my extensive art and design education and infuse it into my photographs.
I want to show you how you can, too.
I began my digital quest when I attend college for multi-media in California and then here in New Mexico. I have learned and discovered little tricks and techniques on how to take new and even old printed images I have stored away for years in drawers and shoeboxes and turn them into works of art!
Combining my experience of digital imagery, my years of studio-art and portfolio classes with my experimentation and imagination I have learned 'secrets' that can turn ordinary into exceptional.
Now, I can point my camera with the certainty that an astounding image can emerge--and it does time after time.
The main problem with digital photography is learning to integrate the technology of:
- the digital camera
- scanner
- monitor adjustment (calibration)
- the technically laden world of Photoshop!

Equipment and software are important to learn, but by themselves aren’t enough to construct an amazing creative image.
As an artist I need to rely on my strengths of creativity and let go of the idea that I have to know every techno-thing there is. So, I don’t subscribe to that idea. And neither should you.
